It’s not even halfway through January, and spring music is already tuning up in the Aransas Metropolis.*  The next few months will bring us concerts at Third Coast Music, Port Aransas Community Center, Copano Bay RV Resort, Coastal Bend Music, Rockport Center for the Arts, and more. Plus there’s LamardiGras coming up in Lamar and PardiGras coming up in Aransas Pass. So much to look forward to!

Rockport Little Theatre opens “One Christmas Eve at Evergreen Mall” this weekend

Holiday plays open this weekend at both Rockport Little Theater and Port Aransas Community Theater. Toscano Burgers drive-in movies bring the holidays to the “big screen.”  Rockport hosts its annual Tropical Christmas, Port Aransas holds its Christmas in the Park, and Aransas Pass celebrates its tree lighting. The Aransas County History Center in Rockport presents Historical Christmas. And of course lots of live music is scheduled around the metropolis.

Tom Kimmel performs at Rockport Center for the Arts on Friday, and you’ll find multiple benefits on Saturday for opportunities to help folks. Just down the road in Corpus Christi is the 62nd Texas Jazz Festival. Not to mention all the great live music at Aransas Metropolis venues.

Fall weather brings the chance for pleasant outdoor activities such as Birding with Bob, the Wooden Boat Festival, and other activities. Fall festivals and Halloween events are already gearing up. There’s the October Kite Fly, Monarch Madness, and Rockport Fall Festival.

And this Labor Day weekend (Sept 1-4, 2023) the Aransas Metropolis* gives you plenty of opps to celebrate the “last” weekend of summer, with concerts and music festivals plus the regional live music that is always expanding in the Aransas Metropolis. Of course, you can also find nature walks and other events the area is known for. The Aransas Metropolis is rocking this Labor Day weekend.

The City of Rockport is sponsoring a movie at Memorial Park on Saturday night, and just up the road in Ingleside you can see a movie at Simmons Park.
